If you have used different project and time management software than the ones listed in the lesson, discuss the pros and cons of that software here.

I use Dubsado for project management, and while it’s an absolute blessing in a lot of areas (I like it because it incorporates scheduling, contract, invoicing, and project tracking features), I would never recommend it for time tracking. That functionality is still very clunky!

I do enjoy Lifeline for time tracking though. My favorite thing about it is that it will register when you start working and automatically start a session for you—great if you’re like me and tend to forget to turn tracking on. It’s a nice solution if you want something very simple!

I have been using Toggl for time tracking, and I love it. So far, I’ve only used it for tracking billable hours, when I’m actually editing. After watching the video in the lesson, I’m excited to try to track more things with it (e.g., admin time, professional development time, etc.). But I’m also intrigued by bjdavis878’s suggestion above of Lifeline. I haven’t heard of it, and I often do forget to turn Toggl on and off (I was surprised to learn this morning that I had a 21-hour editing session logged yesterday – whoops.)
